At last, a prominent and influential Australian has bravely spoken up about the suffering and distress she and her partner have endured since their Covid vaccination.

Dr Kerryn Phelps, is a former President of the Australian Medical Association and she is also a former colleague of mine in the parliament. Yesterday she revealed to Parliament's Long Covid inquiry, that her partner continues to experience a 'severe neurological reaction to her first Pfizer vaccine.

Dr Phelps said she too is experiencing nerve pain and fatigue more than a year and a half after being vaccinated.

Dr Phelps said their symptoms have been confirmed by several specialists as vaccine-related injuries. These specialists have admitted seeing a lot of patients in similar situations and acknowledged "vaccine injury is a subject that few in the medical profession have wanted to talk about".

Dr Phelps also said the “regulators of the medical profession have censored public discussion about anything that ‘might undermine the government's vaccine rollout' or risk suspension or loss of their registration”.

This situation is outrageous and regulatory agencies must be held to account.

Over the past two years I've heard harrowing accounts of people injured by these Covid vaccines as well as those whose lives have been turned upside down because of job losses due to the vaccine mandates.

I hope Dr Phelps' courage in speaking up will inspire and motivate other medical professionals to do the same.

I refuse to be silenced on these matters - even though YouTube has tried by removing a parliamentary speech where I simply asked questions about the extent of adverse reactions and excess deaths in the past year.

Until there is a groundswell of influential people demanding answers, more Australians will continue to suffer.

In the meantime, I will continue to highlight people’s stories in the parliament and invite you to contact me via email if you wish to let me know about your situation.

I wish Dr Phelps and her partner all the best.
