On the 15th of July, South Australia Health changed its vaccination policy from mandatory to highly recommended.
But this is nothing to celebrate – these abhorrent mandates should never have been enforced in the first place.
This now leaves Victoria with the wooden spoon award of being the last state to hold out on vaccine mandates for its frontline workers.
Their reason? The Victorian Health department states it’s because ‘we will be living with covid for some time.’
Does the Victorian government know something that the rest of Australia doesn’t? Or are we just witnessing an unprecedented stubbornness of bureaucracy?
Stubbornness that keeps highly qualified frontline workers sidelined, placing the lives of everyday Victorians at risk due to staff shortages.
This mandate madness has to stop, and I call on the Victorian government to drop the mandates now!
And that’s justice as I see it.
