Minister Bowen copped a lot of heat in today’s press over New South Wales’ supposed ‘heat wave’, and the inability of our electricity grid to keep up with our power needs.
So today, my question is to the Minister for Energy:
Minister, can this government guarantee that renewable energy provides sufficient base load power to sustain the entire nation in a few days of hot weather, let alone a time of crisis?
What will this government do to ensure that Australia does not head down the path of energy blackouts, like we’ve seen across Europe?
