Welcome

It is my great privilege to represent the people of Monash in the Parliament of Australia. Our local area is a great place to live, work and raise a family and I work to ensure it continues to be an even better place for us all.

In addition to serving our Monash community, I am a vocal advocate for a just and compassionate society with a focus on: a fair and sustainable NDIS, care and dignity for our elders and their carers, respect for women, flexibility and support for small businesses and the humane treatment of refugees.

Keeping in touch with your views and opinions helps me to represent you and I encourage your regular feedback. Please take the time to complete my survey and you can also subscribe to my mailing list to receive regular updates.

Warm regards,
Meet Russell

This is a disgrace that this poor woman cannot get justice for her beautiful daughter.

Thanks to both of you for continuing to push for truth.

Today is Youth Homelessness Matters Day (YMHD).

Over 38,000 young people aged 15-24 years presented to a homelessness service in 2022-2023 and only half were able to get the crisis bed and support they needed, whilst the other half were turned away.

Frontline youth homelessness service providers are currently only receiving enough funding to support half the children and young people that come to them needing a safe space.

Many of these children and young people have experienced violence in the home, mental health concerns or multiple disadvantages and it is heartbreaking that services are having to turn so many of them away in a time of great need.

Plenty of fruit needs picking.

Due to the upcoming closure of the 3G network later this year, Telstra have launched a ‘3G SMS Checker Tool’ so that customers can check if they need to upgrade their device before the closure on June 30 this year.

Just send an SMS with the number 3 to 3498 (3G XT) to receive almost instant advice on your device.

Telstra have been contacting customers directly regarding the upcoming closure, but this tool is another way for customers to quickly check if and when they need to take action.

There are still 113,000 Telstra customers whose mobile phones need to be upgraded before the 3G network closes.

They disconnected mine a while ago so only have 4g on phone. Also shut down ADSL so I no longer have internet on computer.

Have a watch of this ABC documentary ‘wi fried’ and see what 5G does to us - fun fact - here in Australia we allow much much higher levels of radiation than the EU - look in every street corner and you’ll see the towers - we are killing our selves youtu.be/xUkSitiWEXo

Hope we are never cornered into just accepting 5G.
